2G 2gNT 99 eclipse GS rear brakes

Does anyone know if you need the special tool to push the piston back for the rear brake pads? I'm gonna change mine pretty soon along with the rotor but I'm wondering if I need that special tool

Thanks for the help. I didn't need them for the front ones. I just used a C clamp

A C clamp will work for the rear too

A good general rule of thumb with rear calipers is if it doesn't have an emergency brake integrated into it (like on a 2g) than it can just be pushed in straight with a clamp, or the tool shown above. If the emergency brake is integrated into the caliper (like on a 1g )than they will have to be turned clockwise to get them back in.
