This is my first post. A little background on myself. I have done frame up restorations on antique cars in the past, so I know my way around a schematic and tech manual. The manuals posted around this site are great and have come in handy.
So, a little about my current project. I bought a well used but well kept up base model '98 RS Coupe for my son when he turned 16. He drove it for 9 years until he finished college and got his first job. When he bought his own car, the Coupe returned to me. I have gutted the interior except for the dash, removed all of the previous owner's horrendous wiring jobs for (audio system, hands free phone system, and underglow light system). I am back to the stock wiring, but as I said before this is a base model. In saying that, I have found that the interior was factory wired for a lot of the possible options (CD Changer, Infinity audio system, etc).
Now to the nuts and bolts: I want to install a lot of the factory offered options to which I will go into in a moment, but as I mentioned earlier, the dash harness is wired for these options, but connecting harness are not (such as door harnesses and engine harness).... I want to install fog lights, electric side view mirrors w/defrost, after market audio system with Apple Carplay/Bluetooth Head Unit(amp, new door and rear speakers, and All-in-one sub). Originally, the only option wired was Cruise Control. I have located the dash plugs for the fog lights and electric mirrors (already figured out the defrost for the mirrors (to be hooked up with the Rear Defrost System)).
So, What I guess I am asking is if anyone has the Left & Right Door Wiring Harnesses with the Electric Mirror Option and the interior trim pieces for both doors (mine are currently the manual style side mirrors and the trim pieces have disentegrated over the years). Also any suggestion on a way forward for the fog lights (again the dash harness is already there). I want them to work like factory (turned on with the switch and automatically turn off with Hi-Beam headlights). I am an Electronics Tech by trade, so I know how to make it work, but if there is an easier way that someone has found, I am all ears. Thanks in advance.
