2gmas on 1g now check engine light on

Hello, I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, I installed a 2g mas on my 1g gst and now the check engine light came on...everythign is hooked up well and all the sensors plugged in right...I can start the car and the light will come on about 30-60 sconds after its running...is there any way to tell a 2g turbo versus non turbo mas???? I'm thinking maybe they fu*kd me over and gave me a non turbo mas. I have no datalogger, I got the wire but I bought 3 of them and none of them worked...

Read the code the old school way with a volt meter, 12v LED, or 12v piezo buzzer.

which pins do I have to touch with the volt meter? which number? I know 1/10/12 are used for the datalogger

Pin 1 is the positive terminal
Pin 12 is ground.
Nothing on pin 10 when your reading codes this way.

wiring it correct, i double and triple checked it, thanx for the replies, I'll check the codes with my voltmeter...

People have problems all the time understanding that VFAQ and getting the wiring correct so you may be checking over and over that it's miswired if you got your information from it and read it wrong.

Check the code and let us know.
