Ok so I've been trying to figure out a way to keep my stock fog lights on my 2ga and still get an upgraded intercooler. Searching this forum gave me no hope of being able to achieve this with a front mount, but today I randomly stumbled upon this picture of a 2ga Eclipse with what it says is a GReddy front mount intercooler and the stock fog lights.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this in person or better yet has done it themselves and could shed some light on whether it's worth the effort to do it.

Don't know about those fog lights ... but I have a 97 gsx and have the huge SBR/Kenetic FMIC and kept the stock fog lights. Took some hacking of the stock fog light brackets though.

BTW ... I am in Lancaster, PA.

You have 2gb, those fogs can be kept with the fmic. Its the 2ga guys who want to keep the look that have a problem.:(

Do you have details on what needed to be done. I'm running the VRSF FMIC and would like to continue using the fogs.

Wow, I didn't even realize that this thread got replies a month after I started it. I would still love to know how I could do this. I did look into the exact intercooler used in this picture and it's well above my price range at around $1400 if I remember correctly. Even if it takes that kind of money it would still be nice to know it's possible.

I had a 420a Eclipse 2ga and used a front mount. It fit good but was a small intercooler i think it was 28x3x15 there where no fogs but if i had them they would have fit. You should just measure out where you want the FMIC and see whats available in that size

The problem is not the size of the core, it's usually the way the piping enters and exits it. This is what usually gets in the way of the fog lights. Even with intercoolers that have piping that exits/enters out the back, I would think it would take some custom work to make the 2ga fogs fit.
