2Ga 7blt to 1Gb mount?

Hey all! I acquired an already built 4G64 bottom end and elected to use that in my stroker build instead of collecting all the parts and rebuilding myself.

Catch is that it’s from a 2G, so it doesn’t have the bolt holes for the front roll stop where my 1Gb expects them. I have it mounted with the main mounts and just the one rear roll stop, all on urethane.

It still moves more than I’d like.

Can you guys recommend an approach to fabbing a front roll stop for it to reduce the movement more?

Has anyone else dealt with this issue?

Without some custom work, going solid on the rear roll stop versus the urethane may help some, though I don’t expect it would be enough by itself, either.

There’s no threaded holes on the radiator side of the block, as you point out, so it’s not very straightforward.

But people have said they’ve done it, fabricating some kind of bracket. Only thing I can imagine is using the additional bolt hole in the block flange that the transmission bellhousing bolts to, though my preference would be using more than one point on the block itself. Here’s a thread that states they did it and shows a picture of a bracket but not great detail as to what it attaches to: 2G block in a 1g
