2G Spring Removal from Shock

I cant figure out for the life of me how to get my spring off the strut? I compressed it and removed the top hat but the upper bump stop is is keeping it from sliding off?

The rubber insulator should come off with the top hat. Once the top hat is off the spring should slide up off the strut. You may have to wiggle it off. Some times with spring compressors the spring becomes crooked and then kinda binds making it hard for it to come off

There's a metal sleeve at the top that's probably seized onto the shaft.

had the same problem with mine
