2g Rims help deciding?!?!?

Have a 98 GSX...Just painted all black fresh n clean.. G speed carbon fiber hood..

Budget is like 550$ for rims .. 17" or 18" no smalled or bigger.. No clue what to get.. My interior lighting is all blue along with blue underglow please help with some pics.

Seriously...? Underglow....? Please tell me you bought the car like that and plan on removing them. Anyway, I've always liked Evo VIII rims on a DSM. You could probably find them at that price on evolutionm.net

do away with the blue interior lighting, the underglow kit, and raise your budget if you want nice rims. personally, i'd get the stock 17 gsx wheels powdercoated bronze.

I would suggest saving up and getting some decent rims. But if you want get stock wheels powdercoated as suggested. I'll trade ya rims for your hood .. What color wheels were you thinking of getting? Most black 2gs look good with about anything, gold, bronze,black,flat black,chrome,and gunmetal.

Those are out of the $550 limit you set though. Not to mention rubber.

Wheels are going to be all about personal preference. Just save your money for a good set of tires. I run the 2g gsx wheels on my car. Love the look, but hate the width. 225/45-17 is the largest for the wheel. Yet if you are on a budget you can find them cheap. Overall, tires are more important, so put your money where it counts!

+1 love the stock 5 spokes, currently looking for a cheap set of 16's for my 1g.

just get your wheels powdercoated a good color, either gunmetal or bronze. if you were to just do flat black, pick up a spray can of it from an auto store. i just dont see the appeal of a black car, with black wheels. personally i like bronze on a black car. save up your money for some good tires. a buddy of mine ran some BF Goodrich KDWs 235/45/17 on his 97 gsx. his car was silver and he just spray canned his stockers a flat black. looked sick.

If that's your budget, I'd suggest cruising around craigslist for the best deal you can find. Sometimes they have really good wheels for cheap!

$550 for wheels only? Or does that include tires? Memoryfab.com or vrwheels.com have tons of nice used wheels for sale, sometimes with good deals.
