2G 2G rear spindle problems

I have a 2G dsm and I snapped part of my spindle. I am trying to put the new one on but can't remove the nut off the ball joint as the stud just spins in situe - any help would be great!! This is really annoying me so much I need a car.

Try heating up the nut first and put a pry bar between the spindle and control arm to apply upward force on the ball joint. Should bind the ball joint and stop it from spinning.

I place the jack right under the ball joint and jack it up. As it starts to compress the spring and shock, you should be able to remove the nut.

Jack under ball joint until car starts lifting up. You'll get it.

Much appreciated - unfortunately my jack just took a dump on me... Broken DSM, broken bike, and a broken jack - it can only get better right..! Thanks guys.
