2G Problems installing rear fender liner

Hi all,

I'm trying to attach my rear fender liners, but can't find any point to actually attach them to the chassis. There are two holes in the liners, whee if I line them up with the other holes, there is as nothing 'sticking out' of the chassis, so to say. Am I just putting them in wrong, or have these bolts been removed in some bad way? It looks like there is supposed to be holes but there aren't any holes.

Sorry for the vague post, it's hard to explain!

It looks like those bolts are snapped off. If it makes it easier you can cut the welded nut on the back side off and just run nuts and bolts.

Thanks @jesse12345! So just drill through and make a new thread, I suppose?

You can do that but be careful because that metal is pretty thin. It takes nothing to bend and twist it up. If things aren't going your way trying to drill them out, just cut the nuts off the back. There just tacked on there.

Also if you'd like to go all out you can remove the OEM nuts and use rivnuts in their place.

Would either of you happen to know what bolt is used there exactly? I have a whole bucket of bolts for my Eclipse but i'm not sure which is supposed to go in there
