Resolved 2G Random connector?

First off my car is a 97 gsx with a 6 bolt block and 7 bolt head. Recently the car has had a weird idle so I started checking for vacuum leaks and instead found a sensor that i cannot figure out where it goes. Is this because I have a 6 bolt bottom end? It seems like it should plug ion somewhere to the head and it has a white wire that connects it to I believe the cam angle sensor. I attached a picture, the white line is the two connectors together and the blue is the random plug. Thanks in advance

Its probably the plug for the original cam sensor

That is the plug for the 2g cam angle sensor you have there and it appears it was jumpered into a 1g green top cam angle sensor to remove the need for the crank angle sensor that comes in the 2gs. The idle issue is probably boost leaks but that connector needs to be wrapped and secured instead of dangling.

No boost leaks. I'll definitely cap off the plug. My idle seems to bounce around from 1050-1200. Pretty sure it's a lose vacuum line or iac

Check your vacuum lines first that is the cheapest route also check your line running to the brake booster .. It can get oil soaked and crack. Also double check your throttle stop on the throttle body and throttle cable tension. You want to eliminate as many easy things as possible before you go to Iac,tps or maf.

i would also verify your base timing is at 5 degrees if you haven't already. i bought my 6 bolt swap about 15 degrees advanced at base with a wild tune and my idle was horrible
