2g manifold to a 1g 14b?

will this work? If so is there anything more I would have to do for it to work?Also, from what year car and/or range of years should I get the maifold from. Thanks alot guys in advance.:thumb:
 
A 2g mani should fit right up to the the 14b, nice upgrade for the 1g, they don't crack as much as the 1g mani's. You could port if you have the time!

Any year from the 95-99!!
 
I have heard that you have to do a little grinding on the belt side right by the PS pump other than that I have one waiting to go on after some porting.

yep, but if your buying new you minus well get the evo 3 mani...used for 120(average price)...good upgrade.

yep you do, It will take some time to trim but its well worth it.

Good suggestion, I have the EVO manifold on mine right now and there is a considerable difference in the two. I would definately go with the EVO if you can find one in your price range.

You don't have to trim the turbo, you have to trim the manifold. It doesn't want to clear between the power steering pump and the manifold, so you have to make a little gap to clear the power steering bracket. So if you were still using the 1G manifold you wouldn't have had any problems.
 
It just takes one minute with a grinder. Once you have the old one off, test fit the new one and you'll see what you need to do. I recommend using new lock nuts and do NOT overtighten the nuts because the threads will pull out of the head easily, and then you will have to helicoil them
 
trimming meaning you have to cut off a small little corner to make it fit because the casting is a little different between the generations. ill see if i can find it for you.





Sorry no luck, anyone else know where theres a write up for putting a 2g mani into a 1g?
 
A 2g exhaust mani. is a great up grade for a 14 b as everybody said. If you can I suggest having the runners ported and the collector side ported. Just to help with air flow.
 
www.vfaq.com has a good explanation of the process. A good place to buy them is slowboy racing($180 new).
I dont suggest buying used....
