1G 14B Manifold...

where can i get a nice manifold for a stock 14b

and can some one explain to me what the waistgate is and the diffrence between internal and external...

and the 02housing

can someone explain to me how all that works and point me in the right direction thanks in advance!

Hmm... well I would do a search there are plenty of things on here about internal and external waste gates. If you are looking for a manifold try to get one from a 2g because it flows better and its less prone to cracking

the o2 housing is where o2 sensor is located. It controlls the a/f ratios and is very important.

Waste gates do the same thing wether its internal or external
the one thats internal is built into the turbo and is controlled by the W/G acuator. Its the large golden color cyclinder depending on how old your car is it may be brown now. An external W/G is mounted on the exhaust manifold normally and has a tube that runs to the exhaust sometimes depending on the person. Go to the greddy web page and find one. They both do the same thing controll the amout of exhaust that is pushing the turbine that way you are able to hold boost at a certain level.

I would go to the www.vfaq.com to read more about everything just so you aren't given any trouble for asking these kind of questions. that way you will at least have a simple understanding of the cars.

Im running the SBR cast manifold w/ an external 38mm wastegate mounted on the manifold and its dumped to the atmosphere. Sounds cool and is a great improvement in flow but if your looking for a cheap upgrade use a 2nd gen manifold port it, take off the turbo exhaust housing, port that for help control creep, reassemble and enjoy.
Otherwise if your looking to go w/ an external wastegate go with SBR cast manifold
As for the O2 housing, pick one up from punishment-racing.com

I plan on picking up an sbr manifold but i need some time to get it mine is cracked and i need to replace it I was going to get mine after school started so if you still have it then i'll get it from you.
