evo3 manifold and 14b turbo

I was wondering since the evo3 manifold is 7cm where it meets the turbo do I still need to keep the metal coupling that my 14b has or do i remove it? Its were the turbo meets the manifold, on the inside a coupling, anyone?

I removed that coupling.
If your turbo is ported remember to remove and portmatch your manifold with it if you have time.


Or upgrade to a 2g manifold.

Because the EVO III manifold has a larger opening than the 14b the stock seal ring won't fit. Just toss it. Don't forget to use the "7CM" gasket when you put them together. The stock "6CM" gasket will hang out in the exhaust flow from the manifold.

just wondering does the 7cm gasket go between the exhaust mani and the 14b?
