14B with cracked wastegate manifold

I have a 14B with a cracked wastegate manifold (yeap I got jipped on ebay AGAIN) and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to put the turbo on my car after I get the cracks welded. If it is, would I need to send it to a turbo shop to get it welded or just any welding shop?

Good luck on welding the turbine housing. Casted pieces are a PITA to weld. Most likely you will have to get a new housing.

I have the same problem. So I bought an exhaust housing from a small 16g for like $50. Just need the weather to warm up so i can put it on.
