2g head on 1g motor, intake question!!!

I have posted about my project to put a 2g head on my 92 gs and now im wondering if a turbo IM from a 2g work fine in my N/A application?

I dont see why not. as long as the sensors are the same you should be good to go. The intake manifold should flow well and bolt right up to the 2g head

Anybody else know for sure? Do i need to buy new sensors or modify the existing ones??

Assuming that you are also on a 4g63 motor in Europe then your sensors should be able to bolt in to where the 2g sensors would be at.

The only thing that would change would be putting your CAS on the intake cam and using your 1g TPS

It should be easier for you but try to locale an Evo3 intake manifold or the RVR manifold. Both bolt up to the 2g head but flow a lot better. The RVR will need to be port matched at the TB inlet to match the size of a 1g TB unlike the true Evo3 manifold.

The 1g TB is larger ID than the 2g so yes.

If you use the 2g throttle body you are going to want to stay with the 2g TPS, as the closed throttle switch is in the TPS for a 2g throttle body. That wire would also have to be wired into the TPS connector.

Ill stick with the 1g TB. Im ordering a 2g turbo IM so hopefully it all bolts right up. (note: my eclipse is N/T)

Yeah it bolts right up but the 2g TB is smaller, therefore the inlet in the 2g IM is much smaller than a 1g TB.

You can try that but like I stated, if you can find the Evo3 or RVR manifold you'll be happy.
