Are you shifting into 4 gear with the auto?

I would swap the BC 272 for some GSC S2 or S3 or Kelford 272 or 280. That should push peak power to 7500. Shifting a 8-8.5k will keep u out of 4th gear.

I would also switch to a 75 wet shot.

Im not shifting into 4th now. I rev out 3rd to 8900 trapping 146. The cars power level/band is pretty good with the cams it has now. Why do you say 75 wet shot? Technically this is a 75shot/60 whp shot. A wet shot is not better when you can add the fuel through the ECU and actually tune it.
 
May have made around 720whp on that pull if it had been taken to 8,000rpm....which makes sense for the 662whp via auto.

Eh, I doubt it. It was making peak power right around when this pull was aborted. This was at 45lbs when I was having oil issues. At 35lbs I made 640whp with the 5 speed. With the auto I made 660whp at 35lbs actually.

well I meant from a 41 pill to a 46 pill. Its like a 90 shot or so. Still keep the dry single fogger setup though. It is cutting low 1.6s as is so its not so bad. I just think it can go a little faster.

When I say 75 shot, i mean a legit aprox 75 hp to the wheel shot. Zex and a few other brands rate it at the crank. I like Zex kits, but i always use different jets and tune the AFR by changing the jets. I guess ECMlink can tune for a dry shot.

What happens if you driving the car around daily and you are not spraying? Isn't the tune constantly rich in what ever rpm window you normaly spray? Or do you change the tune? With a wet kit no need to change the tune, just turn the nitrous off.

At the same rpm? never seen an auto make more power than a 5spd on the same boost on same engine. Different dyno? Autos by nature suck up more power than 5spd (2-5%). I have heard a loose converter can cause the dyno to not read correctly. I bet the auto is faster down the track tho.

I have AEM which will activate the nitrous when certain parameters are met and the arming switch is on. When it is activated it adds fuel accordingly. Much easier and safer than changing pills.


As for the power, the only things that changed were the auto, ECU, and tuner. I dynoed with the stock converter. So maybe it was a better tune who knows. But the real power indicator is trap speed. I went 140 with the 5 speed at 146 with the auto.
 
The issues last time out was the shift box again. It worked perfectly the time before but was shifting early so I had to manually shift it. I went 10.1@141 when the shift box was shifting at 6500 LOL.


No updates really. My racing season is over. Its time to work! The car is in perfect working sitting.
 
Great pass! I noticed around 1:19 of your video There's a clanking noise after you let off the throttle. What's making that noise?

Its the blow down tube rattling around in the trunk. I brought it with me but forgot to hook it up to the bottle.

As for the racing the car, my race season is September-February. I gotta work to support this thing now!
