Just finished a 4g64/4g63 head swap, added a turbo, 95 chipped ECU, lots more in my build thread.

I’m having an issue where the fuel pump won’t power on.
I did do a fuel pump rewire before all the upgrades and it tested fine.
Now I can’t even force the fuel pump on from ecmlink.

So my question is, does anyone have a checklist of anything that can prevent the fuel pump from powering on?
I kinda know the basics from the rewire.
I tested 12v getting to the relay by the pump. But didn’t have a chance to test anything else yet.

The fuel pump relay is bypassed and using the MFI relay which was just replaced new.

yeah, you need to test for 12v to the relay, and 12v being sent from the relay, and 12v at the pump

my typically fuel pump rewire consists of using the original power wire to the pump as the 12v trigger wire for the relay. that way you dont add any confusing extra steps to the wiring. not sure why you would want to make it more difficult using a different 12v reference signal to the mix

I don't know if I am following you well since you don't show how exactly you wired everything, but if I understood the situation correctly, then obviously this is the problem.
I don't know why you bypassed the fuel pump relay but if you really meant "the fuel pump relay" instead of the fuel pump relay module (little black box), you technically lost the communication between ECU and the fuel pump. That's why you can't turn on the pump via ECMLink. What you turn on via ECMLink fuel pump activation is not the fuel pump itself, the fuel pump relay is.

I did the fuel pump rewire. And was able to test after. No issues.

Then i did a bunch of work on the engine, swapped heads, added knock sensor, added turbo, added CAS, swapped ECU's and i did the fuel pump relay module bypass.
Now the fuel pump is not starting.
I still need to go back and re-check all the wiring i did for the module bypass.

Exactly like posted here

Yeah that's the first thing to do. Could be just an easy mistake was made.
So i found the issue. I messed up the wire on the relay with the MFI, on the passenger side.
It did fire right up after i fixed it!

But of course it stalled out after about 30 seconds. I did a capture and set the TPS.
At this point im not sure if its a tuning issue, timing issue, maybe something with the CAS.
Im new to this thing.
But man did it sound great when it fired up and revved it a bit.

That's great:thumb:

There would still be many things to check I guess. Just take your time, no rush. Check everything surely and fix if necessary, one by one.

I feel you. Spending a lot of time, making a lot of effort, the moment it finally fires up is very emotional.

Thanks. I'll be updating my main thread on my build.
