Hey guys, yesterday I went to tune at the dyno for my eclipse gsx 95. The car was running and pulling strong for three pull and on the four pull around 6k rpm the car made a bang sound and the car died. I tried to crank it and it seemed to still have strong compression.
Anyways took the car home and looked for any crack and leaks and bone dry.
Did a compression test and got 140 across the board. Checked for fuel from each injector and everything is good. Checked the coil pack for spark with spark plug in each coil and I see spark.
So I took off the timing belt cover top see if the timing jumped btw I don’t have balance shaft and the timing is dead on.
As I’m going through the checks I got a code P0335 which has do with crankshaft position sensor so took a look at sensor and it looks fine and trigger wheel looks fine. So I jump to ecu to see if it took a dump and the board looks good top to bottom.
Could this be, and I hate saying this word, crankwalk or the sensor just took a poop? Also I check for play by hand on Harmonic balance and zero play.
Thanks
