2g dsm gauge cluster issue

I took apart my cluster and theses two pieces fell out where do they go?

Not 100% but the tiny hole in the one piece is for centering the stepper motor. The two bigger holes are for the screw holes. Both look to do the same thing.

Did you look through the change instrument cluster lights threads? Has to be a pic or two in there showing dis-assembly.

I found one that barely shows that metal piece. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-exterior-interior/274519-how-light-gauge-cluster-leds.html 12th pic down. Not the best but gives some clues.

yea ive been looking for a picture and can't find one. i figured out where the brass piece goes im confused where the silver one goes.

i understand where they go but i feel like i will break the metel part that you attach the needle to trying to get it in the hole on the brass piece.

They both go to the oil pressure gauge (stepper motor). My first gauge cluster I pulled apart did the same thing. The silver piece should have some threads in a couple holes. I have a spare cluster here at work that I've been modifying for a friend, so if you need any specific pictures, let me know and I can snap them and post them up for you.



Well I took it apart anyway, hope these help. If more is needed, let me know.
