Hey,

I need to get the door panel off my 2g because my window is shattered and there is glass stopping the lock from working.

I searched and all i could find were 1g removals so if any of you can walk me through it or if you know of a good sight with pictures and everything i would appreciate it.

Thanks:dsm:

There are a couple screws around the edge of the door panel, there is one behind the door handle, and there is one inside the little door cup thing(the one where you grab to close the door. Its under a plastic cover. Remove all the screws and gently pry all around the edge of the door panel. Once all the clips are busted free gently pull the door panel off the clips from the center of the panel. That's about it, good luck getting all the glass out its hard to get into the bottom of the door because of the supports for the door.

I just did it yesterday. I recommend when prying the door off, start at the bottom, i started on the top corner and the door bent back. Taking the door off is not too hard. The instructions above are perfect.

Thanks for the help guys, anything i should not do? Ive had all the screws off but i didnt want to pry anywhere and break anything because on my previous car i almost snapped off the speaker cover by not pulling it off the right way.

Once you've removed all the screws just pop it off from the bottom like everyone has said. Be careful not to pull to hard once you get everything off because there is a plug going into the center of the panel for door locks/windows. Just unplug it and the panel will be free.

Once you get one clip unclipped, just start going around the edge with your fingers in between the panel and the door and they should all just start to pop off.

don't forget folks there are screws at the upper front edge and the rear edge also.

Other than that, pop everything free.

Then wiggle the piece that goes behind the door handle out, then lift firmly but sharply straight up on the panel (not out and up!)

Once it is out flip it over and unplug the harnesses...

Cool, thanks for the help guys, once i get enough time on my hands ill get in there and let you know.:dsm:
