2g datalogging with scan tool

I have this scan tool, though I've never hooked it up to a laptop. Do you think it'd be adequate for datalogging? I know it reads live data fine, but I'd like to be able to see the info at specified points.

Well, you won't read faster than OBDII, which on my car was about 4 samples per second.

Compare that to MUTII programs out there (Evoscan, MHIScanner, etc.) and I get 80+ samples per second.

So really for tuning you need a MUTII scanner, not OBDII. What scanner where you using?

I'm using Evoscan. For a datalogger, Ceddy's MHIScanner seems to be working fine, and it's free.
