Resolved 2G Blown Turbo make the car over heat?

Quick question for you. My car is over heating and I believe it needs a new head gasket put on it as there is a little oil in the coolant but no coolant in the oil. So I know the head gasket is bad. My question is since it isn't burning oil or coolant could a blown turbo (it makes 0psi at WOT) make the car over heat from not flowing the exhaust properly?

If you know your head gasket is shot, that's your overheating problem.

I had oil in my coolant overflow tank, no coolant in the oil. I thought it was a head gasket. Turned out I had a leak in my oil cooler / filter housing. Oil pressure is alot higher than coolant pressure, and forces oil into the coolant system.

Good point! Yes, that can happen. Only way to tell for sure if it's a head gasket problem is with a leakdown test.

That could very well explaine the oil in the coolant, but I don't believe it would cause the car to over heat if it was the oil cooler would it?

No, it won't make it overheat....
