2g axle bracket wrong?

Alright so I am on the home stretch of getting my car fully running and I run into this problem with my axle bracket. Basically the bracket holes are smaller than the holes that they line up with on the block. I'm thinking that it is because I have a 1g 7 bolt engine in it out of a 93 so the holes are different on the block? I also read that the bracket bolts up to the bracket for the ac compressor? I am clueless on whats wrong.
