Either or, just make sure u don't mix the two and fully drain the cooling system. The pink/orange stuff is designed to be more maintenance free requiring less changes. Green is about every 2 or 3 years and the pink/orange is about every 5 years.

Wouldnt surprise me these days. I seen pink everything nowadays; all for the ladies I presume. I have even seen pink handguns, fishing equipment, cars, etc.

VW's use pink pentosin. If you mix that with the green stuff you get a lovely green jello in your coolant system.

Antifeeze can be any color. The pink I assume is Dex-Cool which I would never use in any car due to its issues at GM.

Never mix types of anti-freeze, and never use one type of anti-freeze in a car that calls for another....in other words, don't just put Dexcool in a DSM because you like the Orange or Pink color.



A very long time ago when there was only one kind of anti-freeze, Peak used to be blue in color, almost like Engine Ice. That was taken off the market in 1994 when GM came out with Dexcool to eliminate confusion, not to mention some were mistaking it for washer solvent. Now, 16 years later, we literally stock six different types of anti-freeze at my workplace.

Pink is long-life, 150,000 km's or 5 years. Green is 50,000 km's or 2 years. Unless you have changed the engine and thoroughly flushed the rad and the heater core So there is no trace of the green left don't bother with the pink. The green will contaminate the pink and you will loose the long-life properties. Use what is called for and all will be good.
