Has anyone else ever experienced difficulty when installing these 2 AC lines that connect to the compressor?

Reinstalling the AC because the previous owner took it out and I’m almost done with everything but cant get these lines to line up correctly for the life of me! I can’t seem to get the bolt holes to line and feed connection with the o ring.

Solution
After doing more research, let it be known 95-96 AC compressor hose connections are different than the 97-99 compressors. They are at different angles and different positions which require the correct hoses. So 95-96 compressor lines do not work with 97-99 and vice versa. I dug up an old forum about this and it confirmed my suspicions.

Just want to help those doing AC installs!
Coming to find out the these lines may not be compatible with my 1997, I got these lines off my 96 AC compressor. when I compared the connections on the back of my 96 AC compressor to my 97 one, it turns out the connections are different. At least angled completely different. The lines line up the the holes on the 96 but not the 97. Pretty weird.

Top is 96’
Bottom is 97’

Now I see why I can’t connect the lines from the 96 to my 97. Any ideas on what I should do?

Solution
Did you find a aftermarket replacement for the 95-96 upper AC line? I am having the exact same issue right now.

No I didn’t. I just ended up using my factory 95-96 compressor and AC lines. You may be able to find some 95-96 lines on eBay or on here if you ask.
