Hello!
I'm new here so if this problem is already discussed I'm sorry. I did do a lot of research but still couldn't figure it out.

Okay so the problem is this, I have a 1998 Eclipse that has spark and compression but no fuel. There is pressure in the rails but its not coming out of the injectors. The car does crank.
Also i have no CEL on the dash when i turn the key?

What have i checked so far :

Injectors
injector 12v supply : YES
injector ground side connected to ECU? : YES
when 12v directly on the injectors do they fire? (Clogged) : YES

Cam and Crank
replace the cam sensor for a known working one? :YES
checked the cam wiring? : YES
checked for a logical cam signal at the ECU? : YES (0v - 5v)

ECU Wiring
checked the ECU grounds? : YES (Pin 13 and 26)
checked power supplys? : YES (Pin 12, 25, 38, 80, 82)

Other sensors and relays
Checked all the fuses? : YES (100 times)
checked the MFI relay? (YES and also swapped it for a know working one)
checked TPS sensor? (YES 0.65v - 4.9v closed vs open at ECU)

Weird things
So as I said, there is no CEL, so is ECU not booting up?
I changed the ECU with a working one but that didn't fix it and also opened it and did the "smell" check and it did no smell burned.

Can it be the Immobilizer?

I read a lot of things about the resistor pack but I cant seem to find it anywhere.
when I spray brake fluid in the intake it does ignite that.

I'm ready to hand out a 50$ bonus to the person that gives me the right answer.

4g63 is fine. Just don't look at any US non turbo threads as in the US non turbo cars use the Chrysler 420a motor.

Have you tried a little starting fluid just to see if the car runs? You need to know if you're not getting fuel from the pump or the injectors aren't firing or both.

CEL light never comes on ever? Seems unlikely if you're getting spark. ECU would have to be on.

Didn't catch the brake fluid comment...so it does start. Listen to an injector while cranking. Does it click? Check fuel pump voltage at the fuel pump while cranking.

How long did this car sit? Fuel pump can get all clogged up from old varnished fuel.

When I spray starting fluid in the intake in does pop and "run" also when I take the fuel rail off and take an injector out, then turn the key there is fuel coming out of the injector hole. It looks like my ECU isnt booting (No CEL or can bus connection)

If you want to check fuel flow from pump get about 7 ft of hose and undo the fuel return at the regulator. Hookup the hose and put the other end in a bucket and fire the pump manually from the check connector under hood. This will tell you if fuel pump is good.

nope the cel NEVER comes on... the injectors dont click when i try to start it.
have not checked the voltage at the fuel pump and the car has been sitting (if i have to believe the previous owner) for half a year

i agree with ou that it seems unlikely that the ecu isnt on but my can connection and CEL make me doubt myself

It can't run without ecu so you may just have a burnt out check engine bulb.
Did you check mechanical timing?

When it starts with starting fluid does it run well?

when the timing is off will this make the injectors not fire at all?

i will test the fuel pump this sunday, but isnt it weird that there is no fuel comming out at all? shouldnt it aleast spray some out even when the pump is almost dead? when i put 12 on the injectors they do open and fuel comes out.

also i dont really hear the fuel pump? is this normal? or should it be a very clear sound?

No

No. Fuel pump typically works or it doesn't. Seems you already established that it works because you removed an injector from the rail. If fuel injectors for sure not clicking either they are not getting power or they're not working. You can use a test light or noid light to see if you're getting signal.

okay so the pump works! thats a good thing! i will check the timing tomorrow to make sure its correct!
any other tips?

Okay so the timing is correct! My crank sensor is giving me 0-3v on cranking while my cam sensor is giving me 0-5? Can a broken crank sensor be the whole problem? When i time it just right it does show 5v (beginning of the video)

Also! Still no CEL or RPM while cranking…. And i do have spark… so weird

Video is not playing. Let's backup. Did this car ever run in your possession? Did you recently buy it? Whats the history?
Check codes anyway. I suspect you have a burnt out bulb or worse ecu isnt really on. How did yiu check spark? Need to make sure that ecu is actually powering up. Obd code reader won't read anything at all if there is no power.

oww... the video is just showing my cranking the car and using a volt meter to check my crank sensor. its snowing 0 to 3 volts going up and down.

okay so the car never ran in my possession, i bought it as a project car with the hopes of getting it to run.

my OBD reader is not connection to th ecu, when i take my tablet and connect it to the obd reader it keeps telling me "No ecu connected"

i checked spark by taking the plugs out one by one and used a screwdriver to see if there is a spark between the valvecover and the screwdriver. (There is spark). also when i spray brake cleaner in the intake it does pop and run on the brake cleaner.

can the car be in some sort of anti theft mode that keeps the ecu from powering up?

What's the car history if you know it. Do you have a full disclosure of mods, changes etc?
for as far as i know everything is stock, the previous owner told me the engine was rebuild (no idea if its true, im guessing its not)

Memory says the EU has a factory immobilizer that the US car's did not. I do not know what it kill's to stop the car from starting. I would assume spark but you have that. Did you every flow the injectors? Not just confirm they are clicking but see that they are flowing correct fuel and good pattern.
