I need to know exactly which fuel pump to go with...

Im gonna be pushing alot of power with a heavily built bottom, and 660cc injectors, and a big 16g evo3 and NGK cold spark plugs.

I dont know which to go with:

190

or

255

I dont want to mess up the fuel, so whats the difference and really which situation would i need for a 255?

Like a 50trim?

If you're going with the 660's I'd get a 250 pump and make sure you get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator as well.

with that setup, i'd probably go with the 255, especially if you're gonna be running 18+ pounds of boost. Its a little harder to tune with just an AFC, so a fuel pressure regulator would be a lot of help. Most people with Big 16's and normal bolt on's can get away with a 190lph pump. Check out www.roadraceengineering.com, they have a decent fuel system write up....... :dsm:

but would you HAVE to get a fpr if you went with a b16g, 550 or 660 injectors, and a safc2? im wanting to know if i can run the 255 without buying a fpr and still run about 18-20psi on my b16g?

Go with the 255 they are very similar in price and its better to be on the safe side then lean burn or just frankly run out and then have to buy it later anyway. :dsm:

i ran the 255 and 550 injectors and my big16g with a afcII dyno tuned for about a year and it was just fine at 18psi. :dsm:

and no fpr? this is what i need to know. im gonna try to tune mine either with my safc2 or with a pocketlogger. is it even possible to tune with a safc2? but since there are no awd dynos close by i will have to do it the pocketlogger way, or safc2 way

Ya i ran with no fpr. most shops can dyno a awd on a fwd dyno my shop hear does it all the time. doing it with a logger words fine but if you do it with a logger or a safc2 you will need a wideband 02 for proper tunning. i still think take it to a dyno that is best also you can get hp and torque #'s but either way works fine but good luck. :dsm:

You should be fine with a 255 and the SAFCII on your Big 16. It is better to be safe and get the 255. You dont "NEED" a FPR. Many people have made tons of power safely on that setup. Although i would say that the 550's would be a better choice. You could push 18 psi with 550's and a 255. Tuning those 660's will be more difficult. Whatever you choose, good luck :thumb:
