I don't know how else to say this but I searched and searched and searched and everytime I think I have everything I need to run 23 psi safely something else pops up. I just need a parts list to run 20+ psi (aiming for 23)

So far I have this if anything is over kill or wrong please let me know

190 fuel pump
a tune (safc)
copper head gasket
16g turbo
front mount intercooler
mbc
upgraded bov
arp headstuds
2g maf sensor
550cc injectors
real boost gauge
bpr7es copper ngk plugs
logger
wideband

This list can be used for members with the same goal

anything else? or will this run 23 psi safely? Do I need bigger injectors also?

First of all fill out your profile...Second, How is the maintenence on your car? Timing belt, water pump, etc?

You have 2g cams, FYI all 2g cams are the same as opposed to the 1g autos that came with smaller cams..

You might need to think about hard piping, injectors, and a larger exhaust, also look into dsmlink or a chip burner...

Sounds like your planning a very nice build..Hope it goes well.:thumb:

warlboro 255 fuel pump
Fuel Pressure regulator

A 255 isn't really necessary to run 23psi on a 16g. If you go with a 190 you wouldn't need afpr either. I run 25psi on a 50trim with a 190. I honestly think a 255 is overkill for many people on here, and requires a afpr to run properly which equals more money.

Just my .02

I think that some of that is overkill, but I'd still recommend it.

What do you plan on using to tune (do some research before asking what we recommend)? This might dictate what size injectors you should get. You will max out the stock ones pretty quickly once you start upping the boost.

I run around the same boost so you can see my mods in my profile to get an idea. Some of the stuff is overkill and some of the stuff is purely for ease of use/pleasure.

You also will want a real boost gauge.

Brian your overkill, OMG I've been wanting to do that all day..:tease: This guy knows his stuff, he is a mod now!
But really most of that really is overkill, I just like to see people with more potential then they need..:hellyeah: Like you, I just realized you have alot of it, there all sweet supporting mods btw..

I totally forgot about a guage-30 to +30, auto meter is pretty cheap..Or buy one from a member. I got one with pod, and line for $30 shipped.

You dont need ARP's i run 23psi on my 16g with 10k miles on a stock rebuild 7bolt. And as for the fuel pump, 250 is better for down the road when you going to want more power. And as for the 25psi on a 50 trim with a 190, i dont believe that is possible.

Check out here. Road Race Engineering's Eclipse Fuel Delivery Upgrades

You will need a MBC, boost gauge, 550 inj, (a 2g MAS will basically compensate for 550s), fuel pump (255 hp is a one time upgrade for up to 500hp with a fpr) SAFC, logger, FMIC, 16g, BPR7ES plugs.

You don't need a copper HG, arps, new BOV. (a crushed 1g BOV is fine for that boost Shit, my dodge-modded crushed 1g BOV holds 30 psi.)

Im running 23-24 psi on my evo316g, my mods are in my profile.. might wanna get a wideband if you plan on tuning it yourself

MM i like this thread, def getting a fmic, this spring, and a wideband. Going for 20psi, that should make my evo happy around there, seeing i have some goodies in my profile. More fuel since i have a maft set up, and will get link before the year is out. Yeah def get a wideband, a excellent investment.

Believe it man, he has it rewired though so that helps a lot. Hell, evo guys run 450whp on the stock fuel pump.

woah, I got a lot to reply to here. I do have an aftermarket boost gauge and mbc ( I haven't updated my profile I should do that now) If I can get away with a 190 then I'll deff go that route thanks for the input. I do have a new bov and a 3 inch open downpipe. I'm going to get it tuned I'm not tuning it myself but I still want a wideband that was part of the list but I forgot to add it in there. I'm glad this thread is helping some and blowing up quick. 23 psi isn't a goal really, 400 hp is and I figured that'd be 20 lbs or a little over. Thanks for the input on the 2g maf sensor I'll add that to my wishlist on myspace. Not too familiar with loggers but I'll start looking in to them. I do have a safc to tune it with. All the maintence is well kept on the car I got it from a guy who babied it, before I try to get more power all the basic maintence will be performed again.

OK... and why would I lie about that :hmm: Do you want to see some of my dsmlink logs I can pm them to you? And where do you base your conclusion that a 190 cant do that? Do you have any actual data to prove it? Well then I guess I make the impossible possible then :sneaky:
If you wanna keep going with this please PM me. I don't want to clutter his thread.

Back on topic. Like others have said its not about the psi, its more about lbs airflow.

Obviously I'm new to turbo cars and dsms. I'm trying to learn as much as I can without asking too many questions. And I updated my mods list. I may be missing a thing or two

For 400whp:

--If you want a 16g, evo3 16g. There's also the FP 18g. And then others like bolton 50-trim, hx35, etc.
--I suggest water/meth injection to suppliment your intercooler, or run race gas or e-85
--You need more injector. You'll need 650s. You'll need even more injector if you run e-85.
--You need more pump. The 190 MAY be capable of seeing over 400whp. But wiggle room here is good. It will definately not be enough flow for e-85. You may still get FPR overrun even with the 190. Especially if you do what you will need for 400whp with this pump and rewire it.
--If you already ahve the injectors then you should definately get the 255 and adjustable FPR. 550s with more base fuel pressure can run like 650s. 60psi base fuel pressure and 550s makes 645cc flow. And a 255hp walbro can deal with that pressure and your goal all day long.
--tuning a 1g with an SAFC is sketchy at this level. The timing advance is much more aggresive. I suggest an eprom flash to atleast extend the maps. You can have a 2g maf run like stock with out any tuning and have 650s not cause any timing advance just as well. If you run e-85, you can get away with the more aggresive timing however.
--You should run arp head studs.
