AN radiator parts list

Hi guys, I want to get this project going, but haven't had much time to spare recently.

If anyone has done a AN rad install, post pics of your setup and details, like what sizes and brands were used? How much hose length you went through etc. I'm hoping 6 ft. is enough.

I am leaning towards Russel ProClassic II Hose purely because of looks and it doesn't scratch paint. Russel fittings because they match and seem to be good build quality.

This is what I have so far..

EVO VIII Koyo Half Radiator
FAL Puller Shrouded Fan

What I am going to order from Summit

4 16AN male Weld-on aluminum Bungs
6 ft Russel ProClassic Hose 16AN
4 Hose Ends

Am I forgetting anything?

Get ahold of Tyler at forced engineering he did it to his 1g. I can't remember his user name off the tip of my head tho.

Are you going to keep the stock waterpipe?

I used -16.. take my word for it when I say if you can make a run of -16 hose longer, do it.

Makes working with the stuff much easier.

Any pics or specifics? Yes I was planning on keeping stock water pipe, what's the alternative /benefit?

If I have a moment I will share some that should show what you want.

The alternative, that I would have gone with were the space available would be to run the Jay Racing kit that makes the water pump conversion to AN a bolt-on affair. This would have been a tremendous advantage in terms of assembly/disassembly were it feasible on my car.

My lower rad hose is a nightmare to deal with installing or removing.

Because of my scatter shield and other items we welded an extension on the water pipe to clear the shield and shifter assembly and tuck against the front of the trans. As a result both the upper and lower hoses are stubby.

I deleted my heater core, throttle circuit, etc as well. I did leave ports for plumbing my liquid cooled wastegates though.

Can I get away with using these inexpensive Summit racing hose ends? What are the main differences, are they going to be will they be as reliable as the Russel ones?

I'm currently working on mine and eliminated the water pipe since I have no heater core and turbo isn't coolant fed. Makes for one less o ring to go bad and a few less places to leak since my bung is welded to the water pump. All -16an

I have used the summit racing hose ends and honestly its worth the money to get the Russell ones. you can tell the difference in quality just looking at them. don't get me wrong they worked out and have zero leaks but I would be weary about disassembling them and reusing them.

You get what you pay for. I personally use Fragola for all my AN plumbing, never had a leak, dsm and jeep plumbing. I also use it with Russell Proclassic.

I must have got the 1 in 1000 slip as my Fragola fitting on my PS return hose leaks like a mofo. Good fittings, just bad luck on my end.

I do not yet, just pics of all of the bungs welded on but it will be a while before it gets fully plumbed and installed.

the pro classic and russell is a good choice to use ive used it on a few evo's and a 1500 hp 67 camaro
