Many have given you good advice. Post 2 covered it, and here we are...days later.

Cool man. Anyways

Will turning boost down also keep me from hitting fuel cut?

It's cool fallen angel. I know what you mean. This ones had it for a while and it's still running so I believe that your friends could be too.

It depends on what airflow the MAF is seeing.

I'd do what you can to keep your foot of the go-pedal until you can acquire and install appropriate safeguards. DO NOT listen to the tool above. He may fill your head with "it can be done", but it's horrible advice.

Thats cool bro i hope you enjoyed looking at my facebook page like a stalker. Atleast i know you stoop low because I obviously aint that stupid because I aint a notrained nobody. I actually know how to build a decent DSM. You can laugh all day long but all youd see is my taillights. I honestly dont care what you do to your turd mobile. Get a life creeper. I dont have to post squat I dont owe you nothing or will give you the satisfaction or privelage to see my baby run. And it doesnt matter what my car looks.like because I know the motor work is whats important.

For clarity:
You're a benchracing toolshed with no timeslips (you have them, but don't want us to laugh), using shit parts, on a hideous build, and give advice on how to blow up a car.

(Edit: The FP Mani and 16g, if it's real, are good choices. The rest...)

You post things online, don't use any privacy settings, make outrageous claims (and "meh" pizza"), and anyone who can Google is a "stalker".

Thanks for stopping by, BRAH. Post up when you have anything relevant or any actual experience with a DSM. Pro-tip, COP is a joke and copper plugs need to be dropped back in. LEt me know if you need any advice on making your heap run right, but until you can grasp simple concepts, do not offer advice.

when you see his name, a shit slinging fight is going on. Nothing more, nothing less. Just fighting.

Yeah bro Im glad you understand it was friendly advice from one DSMer to another DSMer. Without tuning youll definitely need to drop boost level. itll be 12-15 but to fully tune youll need the geo maf/translator with link and wideband. My friend is from altoona this is all he did was DSM all day for over 10 years. I trust him. Hope this helps you bro.

Ok thanks

Yep, no tech at all, despite there being tech.

Hey, by all means jump in to make a hypocritical post and watch bad advice permeate further. You're a huge help.

Closer, and advice given before you even showed up, but a MAFT is not needed.

You know what bro I aint no pro I got in it for the love of the cars and the people that enjoy the same thrill of the ride. you can act badass on a forum. Dont worry when I want heap to run right ill be begging for a genesis because its the best DSM in the world. You belong in a Honda you noob. Your genesis would get spanked all over this island. Good night to you good sir its been entertaining.

I have a Honda, too. :)

I'll bet my gallery still has pictures of the DSMs I owned. :aha: Clicking might be hard for a pizza boy.

More bro-tastic nonsense

Unless you are running 10-12psi boost on this 20G, it is not possible. The math does not work. That screenshot of IDCs >100% is from an actual datalog I took. On a 14B, at much lower airflow levels than the 20G would provide at the same boost pressure in like atmospheric conditions.

If you don't know why that is significant, you should not be attempting to advise others.

Because you don't like the delivery does not make what he is saying incorrect. :thumb:

You've suggested the same about me in a past thread. When guys like this play stupid games, they win stupid prizes.

Why would you side with the folks who are giving out "advice" that will cause damage and cost money to those who don't know better?

Is it me...or does this seem to be a thing among LandoAWD and Hawaii DSMers?
Not the same guy, though strikingly similar. Maybe they were conjoined twins, at the skull, and had to each take half a brain? Who knows.

I just love the hypocrisy. I've never been one to sugar coat ANYTHING.

Nor have I, in the meat-world most people appreciate of how blunt I am and it rarely escalates to this sort of sh!t slinging because it's cut off at the root.

Facts are, the stock pump and injectors are NOT adequate to make anything more than mid-upper 200awhp.. on ANY turbo. First you run out of pump, then you run out of injector not long after as my thread shows with an actual screenshot of a Link V3 datalog.

Especially with the stock banjo fitting in place on the line that runs from the filter to the rail.

End of story.

Another question guys. I've found myself stalling just by slowing down. Not all the time though. My rpms drop and I have to tap the gas to keep it running. I know there is probably a thread about this but figured I'd ask since so many of you are posting now.

How is your BOV connected/set up? Is this coming off the throttle, or at any coast?

There are MANY threads on this. You can use the integrated Google search with GREAT success...

the bov is recirc. and its any time my rpms are up and then I clutch to either slow down and break or to go around a curve.

This 100%, I read through just the 3rd page of this thread and Oh, MY, GOD..

The dyno numbers <<<< over there under my avatar. On a 20g with STOCK injectors and a 255 fuel pump at ~13/14 psi (10lb wastegate sping).. I did not have a wideband. 3rd gear would fuel cut like hell. Heres a thread on it. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/dyno-talk/406948-finally-got-spyder-dyno.html I took a log of both pulls I made. First one I fuel cut, second one my injector duty cycles were 120%+ running DANGEROUSLY lean. I cannot believe the car continued to run.

Lets just say I got me link and some injectors the next week.

GoSlow4Life

So you shut your mouth i will change my avatar to my GsT i didnt want to put a pic because i was doing body to.the roof so I have to redo the.black.

English, do you speak it?

Based on your grammar and typing style, no one is going to take you or the bullsh!t information you've spewed all over this thread seriously.

I hope to god the OP hasn't listened to a word you said.

If you have not yet, I would start an introduction thread in the introductions sub-forum. Post pictures of your car and get as much good information about your setup as you can.

There are plenty of people on this site willing to help you and give the advice you need to make your car fun and reliable.

To compound this.. that was (like me) on a bigger than stock pump which will help bring down IDCs because it is not having trouble keeping fuel volume flow up as pressure goes up.

You could've done the "band aid" solution and added an AFPR and cranked the base pressure up to stretch the injectors..

But I don't even mention that in these fuel threads because if that sounds like a good option for anything other than running out of injector on the dyno/track and needing some head room vs. buying larger ones, I guarantee you probably also haven't bothered to look at where your pump flow falls below what the injectors can provide as pressure goes up or what you actual pump voltage is.

Okay I'll do that. Thank you for that. Once I get the receipts and look through them I'll let you guys know exactly what I've got. Until then I'm just shooting in the dark.

So would you guys say this is a similar situation for me minus the 255 fuel pump?

Yes Crash's setup was similar to yours, but yours is even more in the danger zone.

Also, ajaaye, I pm'ed you.

2nd edit: screw the receipts, look at what is on the car. the guy could have receipts for a frickin space shuttle, doesn't mean its under your hood.
