Ok i just picked up a new 91 6 bolt tsi, arp head studs and exhaust, cometic gasket walbro 255 i was wondering if it could handle a td06h 20g as a daily without super amounts of lag and slow spool basicly stock to a point any 411 on this would rock thanx

You'll be fine. As soon as you downshift all the power will be there. Just make sure you have some 550 cc or bigger injecters, and fuel control. The 20g is one of my favorite turbos. You can even leave it in 5th gear on the highway without down shifting. I have also as fast as 11.70's at 118 maxing out the 550cc injecters in a full weight 90 Talon AWD.

The right set of cams will get you much better spool for a 20g, and don't forget to get a AFPR for the 255 pump. You will definitely need a tune for the 20g turbo. Its not extremely big so you shouldn't worry about spool to much, but it definitely isn't a 14b/16g/18g in terms of spool.

It won't be too much more lag. There WILL be more lag tho. But it will pack a punch for sure. I have a 20g on the shelf waiting for spring myself. So I personally say give it a shot.

Tech Guide: 1G 4G63t Upgrades - DSMtuners

If you're profile is up to date, there's a lot of things you should upgrade before putting a 20g turbo on.

Intake, exhaust, tuning, wideband, injectors, FMIC, clutch (if 5 speed), maintenance, gauges...

What are your power goals for the car?

With a good tune, a healthy 6 bolt engine with ARP's (which you have) can handle anything the 20g can can throw at it.

On stock injecters with a wally 255 HP fuel pump, he should be able to run 10-15 psi. All he has to do is log the car.

10-15psi on a 20g is going to be pretty lame. The 20g doesn't start breathing until 20+psi, if he's only going to be running 10-15psi for now then a 14b would actually be a better option.

I went 12.50's @ 108 on my 20g at 15 psi with pump gas. The whole point is he could run them, but it was advised to get fuel control and injecters before turning ithe boost up. The same car with just a boost controller, fuel pump, act 2100clutch, and race gas @ 20psi went 12.8x @ 104. The 20g setup also had cams, fmic, afc, fpr,and 550 cc injecters.

I hadnt updated my profile at the time of the post but i am leaniing towards a 20g.
i have rc650's full 3'' exhaust straight out the back no cat running ecm link lite on stock tune she run's a bit rich and is cold blooded.
As for power goals 375ish 400 with DD qualitys no drag beast just a quick daily.
Ill be uploading pictures and every step of my build.

Besides the fact that my motor is fully built, my 20g is awesome. I'll get full spool by 3700~ rpm, I have fp2s as well. But I do agree with fuel upgrades and engine management

You'll need a lot more than 650's to get to 375-400hp. If you want to stick with the 650's, get a 16g turbo. With 650's, you won't even be close to maxing out a 16g. People have reached 375-400hp on a 16g (with other mods and bigger injectors). If you have access to E85, get yourself some 1200cc injectors, a good clutch, some cams & springs (if needed), a wideband, intake, and an EVO316g. That should get you to your goals.

I loved my 20g setup, car moved out but yet again I had alot of supporting mods.. but a 20g setup could be bolt on..If you want to keep it simple and cheap then just get let say bigger injectors, s-safc (tuning), wideband, exshaust, and a fmic.. all this will cost less then a 1000 dollors and you"d have a 12 second car

I think a big 16 then would be more practical with a tune which i could get with some bc 274 all of which i can get for around a g im going towards what codeofdastreets sugested thanx everyone

Personally, I like the 20G on a TD05H turbine with a moderate backcut (10 degrees). This'll be good enough for 300whp at around 20psi give or take if your fuel system is up to it. Some mild cams would help too.

So has any one ever had any bad experieces with regrind cams like the ones from dsm graveyard there a lil more cost effective for me at this point of my build.
i jhavent really heard good or bad on them.

I just my reginds in from SIM. They dropped shipped them from DKS. Got them in a few days after ordering. Give Allen a call at SIM. They hooked me up fast. Supposedly they are a copy of the HKS 272 specs.

Only if you get a 20g for cheap there good turbos, but you being awd I would get a 16g for price and powerwise compared to the 20g.Being practicly stock you would benifit more from the 16g running low boost on the 20g will be laggy and not that fun imo.
