I have the same turbo. Are you happy with your HRC 20G? Your car seems still rich. I know we can run up to 30psi on this turbo. Have you tried it yet?

hey batman my bad man, i was looking at wrong name, you were talking about a quote u put up about another guy with all caps.

HRC 20g is really not a good choice. This turbo isn't really a 20g. It has a 10cm exhaust housing & an internal flapper w/ no creep. The reason they can get away w/ using an internal flapper is because the exhaust housing is SOO large that only a small % of the air ever touches the exhaust blades to spin them. The exhaust hitting the exhaust blades is what makes boost.. which in turn makes power. You want as much air to hit the exhaust blades as possible to make the most power.... w/o it being a restriction. What kind of #s do people run on the super 20g? I know several people that have gone low 12s & 11s w/ a BR 20g w/ a 7cm exhaust housing. I personally ran a 12.0 @ 115 totally untuned. I just think there is too much hype out there & not enough proof. BR20g & FP turbos have several 11, 10, 9 sec cars to their credit... That's good enough for me.

Got to love the BR20G. Mid 11s are very common with that turbo. I went with the same basic deal except since I am at altitude I went with a smaller clip than the BR20G.

swordfish

BR 20G at 21psi and got 369 WHP, on pump gas right?

Thats a really good number! Thats more like what I was thinking from a 20G when I had asked earlier.

Also........
How do you like that HRC FMIC? I've been checkin' that tihng out for some time now. Looks HUGH and short routing for all the piping, vs Big Greddy, anyway. Not to many people have it and it's like the BIGGEST one for a 2G, I think.

Batman,

What times are your running with your BR20G? What times have you run with any turbo? Not hating just curious.

Anyone have any times with the Hahn S20G??? Seems like there are a lot of mixed reveiws on this turbo. Everyone who doesnt have it has bad stuff to say about it cause the 10cm housing but the people who have it say its a good turbo. But I have never seen anyone post a time with it. I was considering it because I liked the internal wastegate.

That's because there has never been a good time put down by one. Large turbos do not work well w/ internal gates!!! But if you are set on one... Forced Performance can make you a real 20g w/ a larger internal gate. Yes it will creep if you try to run lowerr boost.. but if you keep it around 18-20 then you shouldn't have much problems at all. BUT... make sure you have the supporting mods 1st!!!

I don't have the BR, I have an FP with an internal. I haven't ran it yet. I ran an 18G to a 13.4@102 with stock exhaust, stock SMIC/IC pipes, stock injectors, no AFC and a 5800ft elevation. I was never even planning on running the 18G for very long, I bought it used for $275. When I started putting real mods on my car last Feb. I decided to get a larger turbo too. My car has been down since then.

The 18G can do way better if you have supporting mods on your car. And my times will always suck because of the altitude. I'll make any turbo look bad including probably my new 20G. If you want a better idea of what a turbo can do you should look at people who are at altitudes that matter. Basically I suck but I still know what I am talking about.

I have the HRC S20G, with 720CC injectors and supporting mods. NO TUNNING, I ran a 13.5@104mph 22psi on leaded gas(i didnt know) and hit EGT's of 820c with 60ft time of 2.3 secs with Nittos 555R tires. Slow(for a 20G) and crappy 60ft time, but the car wasnt tuned and being my last run and didnt get to lean out on the AFC to generate more power and see what time I could hit with the car hitting EGT's of 880c - 900c. The internal gate with this turbo is ok and will do its job, but of course its not as good as the external wastegate.

The turbo is a Mutt of some sort.. it blew up less than a month on the car. I don't know what he's running now. Both cars have our FMIC on them. Just a couple different prototypes.

How big is the FMIC core on it? How much for the core only and would it fit Apex pipings or do you have pipings for it? How much for the complete kit? It looks awsome!

complete kit is $1200 & includes all piping.. nobody elses piping would even come close.

hmmmm................what is your shop called. I might wanna save up for it and buy it. Give me the contact info and Ill call you guys up once I wanna place an order.

I have the HRC front mount and its a decent setup. The piping is ceramic coated black and looks really nice. Works well with my BR20G. I bought it before Ken came out with the Indy core for the 2G. After seeing his setup for the 2G on the web and some other sites I would definately pick his setup over the HRC. But since I have the HRC setup I'll have to work with what I've got.

My 20G did 345hp on pump gas and 370hp on some old race gas. This was with stock 1g motor with HK$ cams. And it was not as good as it has in the past. At the time of this dyno pull it was round high 11's at 117-118mph, far cry from it best of 11.3 @ 122. So it is capable of well over 400 wheel HP

BTW if anyone wants it, I am selling that 20G for $800/shipped. It has 10k miles, polished intake housing, TRE 3" intake and almost new ported 7cm^2 exhaust housing.

Here is a photo of it:
