We get to beatr up on some subies without all the dangers of illegal racing. Do we really need more of a reason not to come? Hell even if all us showed up and didn't race we would still be faster then any vw/audi show and go at englishtown. LOL. Ok, ok enough brand bashing. Seriously. Its just all about having a good time and meeting some people that have the same car as you built an entirely different way to achieve the same goal.

Did anyone else notice the amount of Holset powered dsms in this tri-state area on this thread that are talking about attending? That even makes for some tough competition.

Haha, you'll have to steal it off my car. Now that it is finally painted all I'm waiting for is my motor to finish being built.
Pte BB 6262 FTW! Matched with these!

I wonder what it would take for Island dragway to either have a dsm day or mitsu vs subie day. Only issue is that track maintence at island is less then efficient. No jet dryers. Just a little 5 hp leaf blower and a propane blow torch to burn off oil that the kitty litter cant clean up.

:ohdamn:
I found someone to tune my car. I should be able to make etown.

Dude I live in Long Branch, bring it down Ill help you. I got Kicked out of etown last week for no cage!!! Went 11.0 twice and 10.96 my last run the other week with nothing said to me. Went 11.1 last week and got tossed with a list of things on my first pass, I knew it was coming

I'll definitely come to LB. I have a few more things to button up then I'm good. Are you going to get a cage?

I have a few people that want to tag along... none have dsm's but want to go down the track. Possible? Or is the track closed for everyone who doesn't drive a DSM EVO or STi

Sorry for the dumb question. Ive never been to one.

its open for anyone and everything to show up. However If your friends are looking to run there cars I am not sure if there is a test and tune for non class cars.

I'm calling Turbo Trix tomorrow to find out the scoop on this.

I called TurboTrix today. The event is happening...basically just refer to the rules from last year. A few guys from TurboTrix are helping out with the event, but basically its a word of mouth event for the Tri-State area. Its on Englishtown's schedule so its definitely happening.

Tech inspection will be very strict. Even if you dont run 9's....but you're trapping over 135.more into the low-mid 140's...you better have a 9 second license with a certified cage. You can get a temporary 30-60day certification from your local track for free...or have a certification for $100.

Plan on hitting 9's? You better plan on getting the boot from the track officials if you're gear isn't up to date.

Bring a firejacket, gloves, and some type of NHRA approved helmet. Scattershield is a must, and they may let the driveshaft loop slide. Street 16 is a heads up class on DOT tires such as Hoosier QTP or M&H DOT slicks.

If you don't have the proper gear, you may get tattled on by another racer who does. I guess it happened last year to a guy running 9.60's in a DSM.

Trying to, I dont know if I have the time to tig it up myself so I may have wild rides do it. I never mind spending a sat or sun helping a fellow dsmer:thumb:

If you have some time this weekend I would love for you to look at my car. Even at partial throttle it starts knocking. Not sure whats going on.
