Oct. 15th, count me in if my turd lets me make it there LOL. Seeing that I only put 600mi on it in the 2 years I owned it I can't guarantee it will. I am painting the car Saturday and hopefully my new motor is in it and ready to go by then. Hey Silver, thanks for that back bumper, I repaired it and painted it and it looks AWESOME!!!!

We still need a driveshaft loop. I snapped a yoke and joint at the shootout and my driveshaft dropped right on the ground. Andrew Kisner from frontlinefabrications.com sells a 1g bolt on loop. I'm not sure when you need one, but i want to say its 12.99 or faster.

Im not so sure they are going to do the "Gambler's Race $200 entry" for Quick 16 again, since last year they had very few Q16 cars entered. I know I would be running Q16 with my 1g even if I am not competitive in ET, but Im certainly not paying $200 on a whim simply as my car doesn't fit into any other class.

Can't you run in stock appearing and street 16?

I should be there, unless something breaks. Last years turnout wasn't so good because there was very little info/advertisement about it, the year before was awesome alot of big name shops came out I.e AMS, Magnus,English,Kiggly ect.. Spread the word on the local/other DSM forums and there will be a big turnout.

You should come out even if something breaks. Hopefully it doesn't though.

Stock appearing is for streetcars w/ registration, full interior, radial tires, full exhaust. My car is a gutted tin can on slicks.

Street 16 has a 2800lb minimum weight, my guess is I'd need to find a few hundred pounds of ballast. :p I'd also have to get rid of my lexan and get ahold of an exhaust system.

You can use my hatch, exhaust, and cinder blocks. We can hot swap parts between runs LoL.

On a different subject, can anyone hook me up with a basic tune so I can get my car back from DogBox Racing? They're not tuning it and they said not to drive it home without a tune.

Kurt,
Dont make that bumper lookto good. I'll want it back. It looks awesome.

Looks like alot of local guys will be making it out and bringings the dsms. Thats always a plus. I guess its time we tear our cars out while all the ohio guys come out to visit. I know every year its always fun to drive to Ohio to watch all those Ohio guys break there stuff while I drive home.

This event has gone down hill over the years. When I first went (about 8 or 9 years ago) it was just Mitsu Day and there were some big players on the scene. I would get amped for this event back then, now I really couldn't be bothered to make the drive for what it has become...pretty much like everything else at Englishtown lately. It is sad when good things turn to shit.

This is true, I remember in 04' shep and extreme psi lined up, shep won, extreme broke but with a 1.1 60ft!!! That was also when Alex of dogbox racings white laser was a street car going 10.4s, god I loved that car

I need someone to come down to dogbox racing with me to tune it so I can drive it home ;)

If you have link just tune it yourself on the parkway, but I must say Alex is the man. Why do you need someone to go with you, are you leaving it there?

My car was there getting rebuilt and it was never tuned or anything with this new setup. They won't tune the car. They're finished with the car so I need someone to tune it so I can drive it home.

Oh hey, ya I remember, whats up?

Think this Englishtown event will be worth going to? What are the classes? Any clue?

Not much man, if i get my car figured out i was thinking about running DSM bracket class, but if it runs as well as it should, i may get booted for no cage. Last years event was pretty beat, but the year before was really decent. The year before was probably still only about half of this years Ohio shootout though just to give you a comparison. I don't know if I'd drive the 5+ hours it would take you to run, but it's only a little over two for me, so i'll be there w/ or w/o the car.

Its still a good 6 weeks away. Maybe if I see more promotion going on, I'll be more excited to attend.

Its about 5 hrs for me...not too bad really. Its worth it to compete and have some fun.
