I think there were 3 cars in the Q16 class last year and they gave the one the boot.

The one that got booted had the blue painters tape on the back window that said TURD on it didn't it? Lol

I'll be there. not sure if I'm running, showing or just spectatcing. Last year there were better looking cars in the spectator parking then there were in the car show. I hope this year its the other around. I know that most of us dsmers can care less about a trophy for showing and the majority of us are for going. Either way I'll be there. If I have a trailer there or atleast arranged for the ride home I'll be representing a Holset 35 as well. Looking to run 11.49 as I want to be told to go home until it has a cage. There is something very rewarding to me about being told my car is to fast

+1, it would be an expensive trip to get sent home, but a victory none the less.

This event has gone down hill over the years. When I first went (about 8 or 9 years ago) it was just Mitsu Day and there were some big players on the scene. I would get amped for this event back then, now I really couldn't be bothered to make the drive for what it has become...pretty much like everything else at Englishtown lately. It is sad when good things turn to shit.

I know 2 years ago when there was the big issue with all the big shop guys against Buschur they had a huge turnout. I've heard so many times that this event has gone downhill. Its not just englishtown thats strict for tech insepction. New jersey race tracks have to follow New Jersey gaming comission rules so that opens the door for politicians and nhra to run free. I understand you can't put a price on safety but if they eased up on some things it wouldn't be as bad. I wish all the big shops would step in and come again. There was big money going around for the q16 class as it turned into a gamblers race.
I say we just get as many people as possible. Even if the event sucks for racing its still a dsm event and getting us all out for an event is good enough for me.

Agreed. Im going just to be a part of it if i don't race... My first car/DSM and I missed the last meet in the tristate area... so, I'm basically just ganna be a rookie looking at other cars and trying to learn as much as possible.

Im planning to come out and race some sort of mitsu class w/ my 1G auto. It will most likely have an E3 16g on it, so it'll be going mid/low 10's hopefully. (itching for an excuse to get this damn 14b off asap)

I know I started this thread but does anyone have an inside line to say if any vendors will be there? Last year there was a H.I.D. vendor there and I'm looking to purchase the kit but only If I can inspect everything in person before I put out the coin.

Well if the turn out isn't as good this year as we hope. The pictures should help promote the next years meet.

Maybe his car could only run 1/8th mile then it would turn off due to technical difficulties

Oct. 15th, count me in if my turd lets me make it there . Seeing that I only put 600mi on it in the 2 years I owned it I can't guarantee it will. I am painting the car Saturday and hopefully my new motor is in it and ready to go by then. Hey Silver, thanks for that back bumper, I repaired it and painted it and it looks AWESOME!!!!
