2 step questions / rpm limiter

I have a question about 2 step/ rpm limiter. I have a 1995 gst and was woundering how do i get a rev limiter and where do i buy? Also the best brands and what are the good and bad of getting one.

You can achieve a rev limiter and a 2 step launch control by purchasing a dsmlink. You need a 95 eprom ecu and the dsmlink itself. You can purchase it at this website. ECMTuning, Inc.

Boost by gear is something you would need to do to help traction. DSMlink will help. Buy it.

Already being a 1995 you probably already have an EProm ecu so that save you $200.

Not to try to thread jack or anything, but with the 2 step launch control, whats a safe RPM range for a stock GSX drive train?

i think between 3500rpms to 4000rpms would be a safe range. Thats what i used on my tsi awd before and had no issues.

No they do not.
I was launching my stock drivetrain at 5500-6k, depends how I was feeling that day.

hmm, i cant say that i launch off the line at 5-6,000 but i know when after a launch my rpm will bounce at 6,500 through out all my gears, is there a way of raising that to say 7,500-8

So you must have an auto? Why would you want to on stock valvetrain? There would be no benefit to that. Slower 1/4 mile times plus most likely floating the valves and doing some serious damage.

Note he's on a 420A as well..

ECM link is your best bet, but they also make chips to for your ecu

ECMLink V3 full will have everything you need and more. Why do you want a 2 step so bad? you have a stock GST...

EDIT: I see you have a 14b and MBC+ boost guage.

Now you need a wideband, full exhaust, larger injectors and ECMLink V3 and you could have about 270whp on your hands.

Screw that. For $100 more you can get ECMLink Lite and have the 2 step with anti lag AND the ability to tune your car.

Just remember that the antilag is not going to be like a rally cars setup. But ecmlink is the best choice if you plan to keep modding the car.

They sell for 200 on eBay all day, and yeah he could get ecmlink lite but would need a an eprom ecu if he doesnt have one(maybe $200) and socket service(###### like $50) and some form of laptop/net book(Cheap netbooks go for $250-$300). It adds up quick. Just saying.
