Ok after spending 2 days looking for the thing in town I've decided to make a little post about using the bottom end, 2.4, and the 4g63 head, pertaining to what timing belt is needed. This is for the people who used 2.4L cam gears and a 2.4 timing belt instead of using 2.0 cam gears and a 2.0 timing belt for their 2.4L swap. Every place I went to doesn't have the 94 Galant DOHC listed, thats Autozone, Advanced, Napa, and a bunch of other places here in St. Louis. The belt that is needed comes from a 1995 Galant with 154 teeth, it is a Gates T256 "Highly Saturated Nitrile Timing Belt" printed on the box. I got it from O'Reilly's for about $70. Better than most peoples prices and you don't have to get it shipped. Dealer want $95 + shipping to his place for me to pick up. Mitsu part number is MD182292 and cross references with the T256. Again this is the 4g64 timing belt used for the 2.4L swap with 2.4L cam gears. Wow what a pain. Hopes this saves someone the trouble of running around town and having people from autozone try to sell them a balance shaft belt because "that's the number that checks out for a timing belt." If this is in the wrong category for the forums, I apologize moderators, please move it.

Ya like I said I wanted it localy and didn't pay 85 AND shipping, paid $68, just trying to save some people some cash and time.
