I currently have a 90 GS/t conversion. Ibe been having a few smoking probs so I want to get anyother 4g63 block and make a 2.3 stroker. Ive been looking for some info on what type of machine work is needed to put the 2.4 internals in a 2.0 block.

So far what I understand I will need:
2.4 crank
2.4 pistons and rods
2.0 head

Is the above correct or is there more too it?

If I can get a definate answer and find that this is going to be worth the work, Im getting the parts tomorrow. If not, Ill just go with a .20" over bore 2.0

Thanks,
Thomas
90 GS<-- Finally GS/t

You need:

2.4 crank
1G style rod if doing a 6 bolt
Custom set of pistons (comp. height is shorter)

The block will have to be clearance for the longer stroke.

It will be a 1g 6 bolt motor that I will be using. Will the stock 2.4 pistons not work? would it make to rod/piston assembly too tall for the cylinder?

Thanks
Thomas

Good info,
I dont think 6mm+ is a good thing.
I got a decent 6 bolt 1g engine today.

it should be a good engine to rebuild. Im having a hard time finding a decent 2.4 crank yo use though.
I may decide to just keep as a 2.0 and use 0.30mm over bore pistons.

Thanks,
Thomas
