Hello everyone I am new to this site, and fairly new to DSM all together. I currently have 2g that I am working on building a 2.3 stroker for which will be a street car, the current configurations I am using so far are, 4g63 turbo block punched 40 over (using the oil squirters) 4g64 crank that is balanced and properly cleaned, ported/polished head, HKS 272 cams, crowed springs and retainers, my block has already been machined for clearance on the 3rd rod and ect, using a DSMlink and speed density maf delete, apexi ASVR, FMIC, Greddy BOV, the only pieces I still need to acquire are my rods and stroker pistons which will be eagle esp rods and wiseco pistons and them I need gaskets and seals

For turbo set up I am still searching for a good setup to use with this, the car had an MHi td05 16g prior to this but I will need a bigger turbo after this build I figure was really wanting like an hx 40 with bep but they seem pretty pricey even used so I was thinking about maybe just a 20g

Sorry for the long post but I'm new here and any input or suggestions are appreciated, thanks

It's all 6 bolt also I forgot to add that and TPG here in PA will prolly do my tune once build is finished

Just shop around for the turbo. I'm running a 2.3 in my daily driver with a hx35 and it's awesome on the street. Over 20 psi before 3500 rpm. This was on a dyno and at the time i had a few boost leaks. I think a 20g is a bit small for a 2.3. I'm sure it would be a blast to drive on the street though. Have you considered a 7 blade hx35 in the T3 housing?

I haven't done much shopping around yet cuz in kind of scared of getting screwed cuz I know motors and have built others car prior to this and can build a motor any time but I do not know what to look for on turbos or what's a good price or what is necessary, I am under the understand (only from what I've read) that to switch from the 16g to a hx set up I would need all kind of changes to my stuff or is that incorrect ?[DOUBLEPOST=1410458123][/DOUBLEPOST]Also does the rest of my buld as far as the parts and such I'm using seem like a combo?? Should I ise a new timing belt tensioner or can you reuse them ?? I have read a few places you should replace them on these but I have normally reused them on the 420a motor and such I've done

There are some good supporting vendors on the site that would sell you a quality rebuilt turbo. That's how I got my Holset and I haven't had any issues with it. Another option would be to get a FP turbo. I'm a bit partial to Holset though. I personally think the are great turbos in terms of spool and power. Definetly change the tensioner out.

Could you give me some names of guys or whoever I would need to get ahold for the rebuilt hx please ?

I'm honestly not positive on that at the moment, I was thinking prolly 8.5 but idk for sure gota do some more research to see what will work best I'm not trying to set any records here but I want to have one mean a$$ street car
