Hey whats up guys? Im in the process in building a 2.3 6 bolt, and I want to get a few things cleared up. I bought the setup off of a fellow DSMer from the classifieds but he doesnt know what the compression or anything is..it's the Eagle rod/Wiseco pistion combo so Im assuming an 8.8:1 ratio? Also Im not sure what the crank is. How do I know if its the 4g64 crank? Where is the part number on the crank? And who do I goto/where do I check when I get the part number?

Next is an open-ended opinion question..along with the 2.3 setup I have a Garrett T3/T4 ar .70 turbo. Is this a good turbo for a 2.3? Also Im keeping the 2g head from my current DSM. I know I have to get the holes drilled to fit the 6 bolt block but I was just wondering what you guys would recommend for head work? Valvetrain? Camshafts? I was thinking the FP1 intake cam and HKS 272 exhaust cam..let me know what else you guys think I should go with. Thanks in advance!!

If it truely is a 2.3 stroker kit, you will have a 4g64 crank, stock length rods, and the wrist pint hole on the piston will be 6mm closer to the top of the piston. Just take some measurements....a 4g63 has an 88mm stroke, and a 4g64 crank has 100mm stroke.

If you aren't sure, just take it to a machine shop and they will measure it for you for free.

Also, I think Wiseco stroker pistons were 8.8:1 for their regular pistons, and 8.5:1 for their heavy duty ones.

On my weisco there was a part number on top. I jsut ran it through google and it worked for me.

I also bought a "2.3L Stroker" from a forum member, but it turned out to be a 2.4 but it was ok

My appologies LOL its a T3 flanged turbo. I also bought the turbo off of a member on here. He said that he had it on his BMW 325i e36 but it spooled up 3000 rpms and he wanted more top end. Ill try cleaning up the pistons and running it through google. What do you guys used to clean your pistons?
