2.1 destroker block options

Hopefully this is the right location for this question. I'm looking to do a 2.1 engine for my spyder and I know I need a 2.4 block to build upon. I also know this block can have slight changes depending on the vehicle it came in. This being said, I know the local salvage yard has a few 3g eclipses sitting around that still have their engines. Is their 2.4s the same version that came in the 2g N/A Spyder? I'm only asking this based on the limited info on the 2.1 build. Hopefully this will help out others too.

Should work, only thing might change is engine mount. But everything is bolted in same location as the 2.4 in the spider except its flipped

Outstanding. Would custom mounts be needed, or just take the mounts from the 3g as well and see if they would work?
