2.1, 2.3, 2.4? + Gt35r

Stroker. You're average joe :p I'm pretty sure you're not gonna go faster by revving 500rpm higher with the 2.0. Especially if you get stroker cams. It's obviously gonna be more enjoyable on the street. Just make sure it's built right, otherwise there's more shit that can go wrong with strokers.

If the fixed variables in this equation are: GT35R, Daily driven,....then my opinion would be for the original poster to build a 2.3 or 2.4. Seeing is how it is getting harder to find 2.4L blocks, he should probably build a 2.3. Stroker motors are nice on the street...and do awesome even with a larger turbo. My 2.4 and 57trim is tons of fun on the street. All the 2.0 guys ask me if I have a spool-up shot....:sneaky:

IM READIN THIS RIGHT.. higher compression WILL NOT make you spool faster? how are these honda people getting such quick spool on big turbo's and 1.8 liter engines... i thought it was cause the higher compression?

maybe i dont know anything.

maybe its due to there better flowing heads? i dunno.

Yeah and they have very aggressive cams and bigger more aggressive cams make for slower spool and yet they still do it.

Correct. Higher compression WILL NOT make you spool faster :D

I don't know if the (hondas) are getting "big spool." But, they are getting "big horsepower" from the higher compression. That's the difference.
 
It only seems they spool fast because the turbo fully spools at like 5500rpm, and they shift at 10k. As long as the torque curve remains flat, the horsepower will continue to rise. Period. So if you have a motor that can rev to like 11k, as long as your tune is good, you can get gobs of hp out of that setup. That's how indy car engines work... They have almost no torque, but since they rev so high, they can pump out lots of horsepower.
