My first gear constantly pops out of gear forcing me to actually hold it in gear. I'm thinking I may have worn the gear to the point that it barely interlock. When I bought the car more than 5 years ago, the original owner had the same problem and since the car was under warranty he had it fixed. I'm wondering how much it will cost to have something like this fix since it seems to be a regular occurrence.

Also, anyone have any recommendations where in Northern VA I can take my 95 Eagle Talon TSi to have this fixed? I don't want to just take it to any run of the mill transmission shop and be ripped off.

Thanks!

have you replaced the fluids and such.. on the 2g there is a huge counter weight on the shift linkage in the engine bay.. a lot of times that is rubbing or hitting something and causeing it not to fully engauge the gears... i would say check that first and formst.. other than that i dont know crap about tranny internal's so your on your own there..
