I will skip the Fluff and get right to the facts:
1G AWD (1992). Car has Jacks Trans. Put about 1000 miles or less of simple commuting without issue on the car, no racing. On day on an easy drive, it begins to gring going into second on downshift.
Car gets parked for a year for new motor. I am just now getting it back on the road, it pops out of first gear. If the car is moving forward, it goes into first and stays without issue. If I back out of a parking spot or driveway, it pops back out of 1st 100% of the time.
Clutch, slave, clutch master cyl, fork, T/O Bearing, shift cables, busings, and so on are all new. Solid Motor Mounts. Using Redline Fluid, all other gears work fine other than an occasional light grind going into 2nd on upshift.
I have adjusted the cables until I am blue in the face.
