Car is a 93 laser RS turbo with K&N, accel 8mm plug wires (brand new) NGK BPR7ES (gapped .030) and turbo XS Boost controller set to 12lbs...
 
Looks nice, if you want to try and squeeze some more power out you can take some more fuel out, but if you get knock then put it back. Always good knowing your car is running well without knock
 
Re gap your plugs to about 027-028. You can raise the boost to about 15 if you want or
lean it out a little. Looking at that you shouldn't have a problem. Make sure not to go below about .88 on your o2 readings.
 
for the replies guys...wut should my 02 sensor voltage be at idle? And cruising around town wut should the 02 sensors be around? I plan on getting a 3" downpipe very shortly and getting a walbro 190 (dunno if i should go 225) but either way i can be sure to run more boost cuz il have more fuel....o yea u guys keep saying "take away fuel" how would i go about doing that? I dont gotta AFPR ...do u mean take away fuel by adding boost or what...thanx for the replies :thumb:
 
The o2 voltage should constantly fluctuate(sp) between 0 to about 0.8 volts
while driving (cruising) no boost. As far as fuel control I would highly recomend
an SAFC or somethin like it, and get the 255 pump Just so you don't have to
upgrade later down the road.

Get the turbo back exhaust and the fuel pump first. Its a good thing that you
got the logger first. :thumb: Before starting to mess with the car. Most people do it the
other way :notgood:
 
thanks man...i try to take the smart approach 1st....so yea im gonna vent my 1g bov tomorrow i cant wait!...JK :p But seriously...i dont plan on getting an AFC till i get an evo 3 16G+550's+255walbro....but yea man no joke...hopefully with turboback 3", BC and walbro 255 i can get into the low 14's with a nice trap (my goal). Another question...does anyone know how to upload my datalog info from my palm IIIxe to my computer so i dont have to manual type it? Can i run low 13's on stock SMIC? How much will hardpipes benefit me? Sorry jus questions that i need answered b4 i make moves...but exhaust is 1st before anything...then maybe hardpipes?
 
Hard pipes you can do just make shure you install a larger TB elbow, like a 2g piece.
I have friends that have run 12s on the stock side mount so its.
But before you spend money on pipes take a look at some of the front mount kits
from our vendors on this site. You can get a complete kit with pipes and all very
reasonably priced. What kind of logger are you using?
 
using a palm IIIxe with MMCd program to log the car.....I dont know if i wanna drop 600+ into a FMIC kit tho man thats kind of steep...i dunno my true goals yet of the car...maybe i should figure that out 1st before i go and drop so much money on a FMIC kit. Ebay sells full hardpiping kit with greedy type S bov w/flange for 300shipped for the stock SMIC, it had me looking but im not sure what to do.......i know i need an exhaust for now im gonna take one step at a time.
 
Trust me you will not be sorry if you spend the extra $300. A good front mount
and a 16g will put you in the low 12s. And if you ever want to go faster and you will
have that much stuff less to deal with later.

Sorry can't help you with the mmcd stuff never used it.
 
hes fwd, a fmic and a 16g will not out him in the low 12's.. maybe the low 13's with like 108-110mph trap speeds.
 
Car already has KYB shocks/struts package and is lowered on eibach springs. Has cross drilled slotted rotors. Suspension part is already done....i jus gotta install my prothane motor mount inserts...anyone got any good ideas for that? :notgood:
 
Don't do the rear one unless you like a lot of engine vibration.
The front is just an insert so its easy, and the left and right I found
its easiest to use a hacksaw and cut the steel part of the old mount in like
2 or 3 places and then it will just slide out with a hammer.
Any plans on tires?
 
right now is sitting on 100% brand new bridgestone potenza 225's (225/50/16)...there brand new so far i like em...only thing holding me back is my wastegate actuator (has a broken cotterpin cought in the nipple piece) so i got an e-clip tryna hold it on but dosent to well when i hit a hard bump(WGA when it comes off stays open thank god so the car dosent boost kind of a good thing)...or wheel hop if u know wut i mean (i think im gonna jus put a spot weld on it) and if the WGA decides to go all more reason to get a evo 3 16G :thumb:
 
im very much into drag racing but i know i cant have my cake and it eat 2 being FWD...so right now im thinking this car will jus be a highway roll/punch car . I know down the road traction will start to be a big issue with the car (sometimes it already is) so i can only imagine how it will get from here...
 
Do some reading on other turbos I think For a little more $ that a 16g you can
get something along the line of a 50trim (much better top end).
Theres a couple companies that make garret bolt on turbos for out cars.
AMS,AGP are companies that have them and I have personally delt with before.
