1gen SMIC vs 2gen SMIC

I was looking a the 2 smics and noticed that the 1gen is quite a bit larger.

i was wondering if the 1gen is better then the 2gen intercooler

and can it be easily fitted to the 2gen

Yes, the 1G is a lot better, couldn't tell you though if it will bolt right up. A lot of people if they want to retain the SMIC will go for a Supra SMIC. They flow better than the 1G's.

The piping is thrown off just enough so that a 1G intercooler will not be a direct bolt on for a 2G. A Supra intercooler would be a harder task but well worth it.
