1gb front licence plate mount

Hi i have a 94 talon es. Is there another place i could mount my front licence plate becuse it dosent look good drectly in the middle and my state requires two plates. Were whould you move the front Plate to?

Firstly: Go Michigan's one plate requirement!

Secondly: There really isn't a good spot to put it, as unhelpful as that is.

You could always custom make a frame to put it in a little lower... My personal opinion is that if you have it off to either side 1. is it legal? and 2. It really just wouldn't look that good either. I'm a very symmetrical person in the way things look. Your best bet on looks is to leave it where it is or depending on if you are rolling a stock body or if you have a body kit you could always set it lower... It's front, it's center... should still be legal even if it's not that visible.

Post pics when you decide. I'm always curious.

I don't see what's wrong with the center...but if it bothers you that much just take it off and hope you don't get pulled over. My state also has 2 plate requirements and neither my gsx or my altima has front plates. I've NEVER gotten pulled over for it.

Alternatively, you could get some velcro dots and mount it to the inside of the windshield. I had a friend of mine mount his in the top of the windshield on the passenger side of his car.

1. Highway traffic act states the plate MUST be affixed to the front bumper (NOT the windshield) It doesn't matter where on the bumper as long as it is visible. That being said i took my front plate off and in a year I've only been pulled over for it once and I told the officer I didn't have a mount for it. I got off with a warning


I've seen a couple guys take the new Evo sidemount license plate brackets and put them on a 1G. Doesn't look too shabby, you might want to look into it.

Wow this brings me back to my rsx days. I never had a front plate on. I got pulled over atleast 5 times for it. I think i made the mistake the first time by tellin the officer im never going to put it on. Plus he had it out for me i out ran him a few times. Now my talon has the bracket drilled on the side and, now that ive grown up i realize the trouble wasnt even worth it. If you have a sports car most people dont catch it just because it looks right.

We have a two plates requirement here; I never ever followed this law and never been bothered with it. If I ever get pulled over for it, I have it in my trunk and i'll just say that I was doing some kind of work to the bumper and forgot to put it back on. That's in Canada though, don't know how that sh!t rolls in the states.

I know, DSM's looks good without a front plate when you remove the bracket, but if a state law requires the plate, you just have to eat it..

Interesting, is that I go into the neighboring state of Oregon and get nailed by the state police on the issue pretty hard when I didn't have a front plate bracket on, but had the plate in the back seat to show the officer. He just gave me a written warning to sign and mail back in.... where two wks ago, I got tagged by the city police on the same issue. After all of this, I grew up and decided to play it safe and get the plate back on since I didn't want to be a target by the law - you have to learn how to play ball and eat your pride.

..and don't mount it in the intake opening as an alternative choice, for that plate then acts like an air dam pushing air away from the radiator causing overheating...
