1gb clear lens headlights????

I have searched all over the internet for "clear lens" headlights for my 93 talon. I have not been able to find any of them available anymore. I have looked on ebay, google search, hidplanet forums and here of course. Almost everywhere i have seen them, they were forums from a couple years ago or more.

The reason i want these headlights is because i would like to do a retrofit and because my stock ones are yellowed up and output is not that great. I have't seen any output shots of 1gb's with PnP HID kits in the factory headlights but i would imagine that the light would probably be pretty scattered and shotty.

They stopped selling them. I believe a retrofit place bough the last few remaining ones up over a year ago. I bought mine from the classifieds and your best bet is to find them there.

I'm keeping these bastards..They do pop up once in a while here in the classifieds..

I think the company that used to sell them must have went out, or stopped making them years ago.

You find a pair of black ones,I'll trade ya.

Brasso and a an old sock..Takes about 30 seconds to brighten up a set of 1g headlights.

Dang, that sucks! I may have to try and make my own clear lenses then. I found a "how to" on making them. I will have to find some used lights to tear apart and experiment!

Do you guys have any experience with PnP kits in the stock housings??

The modded clear lights/corners are for 1ga bro..

They still do sell the clear corners on ebay.

But the yellowed headlights..Brasso and an old sock..Buff it.. Wipe it clean.No more yellow headlights.

I made a corner light lens for my wife's car out of lexan. I just baked the lexan at 350 for about 5-10 mins and was able to bend it and form it. You may be able to do the same thing for the headlights.

Bud92gsx - thats exaclty what i am looking for! Too bad they dont make them anymore!

As far as making lenses all ya gotta do is take the lens off the housing, make a mold of the inside of the housing and put body filler on that so it can be polished smooth. Then you take a sheet of lexan and pop it in the oven (like said above) and build a form to go around the sheet so it doesnt stretch goofy and then you pull the hot lexan over the form. After that cools then you cut the excess and trim it so it fits on the factory housings and BAM! You have clear lenses. It will be a while till i do this, but thats what i now plan on doing if i cant find clear headlights before then. Plus i have mechanical issues i want to work out first.

I found them a few years back looking for Mirage replacement headlights bc I was thinking of doing a 4g63t swap in a chassis that needed a new pair and stumbled across those people. Thing is they don't always show up in every google search. I just had them bookmarked in my computer.

That's pretty cool man. I may do something like that to the rear lights/center section. My wife's topaz didn't have a lens on it so I just formed it by hand. Thanks for sharing that info.

I have some PnP HID's in my 93 and I hate it. Definitely need projectors for the correct lighting.
