hey guys

so i was cruisin today and all of a sudden i hear somethin break. so when i get home i see that my driver side side marker/corner lens flew off when i was driving. so im lookin on ebay. i found a single regular yellow side marker for 9 dollars after shipping. and i also found 2 clear ones that are 20 dollars after shipping. i wanted to know what you guys thought i should do.eBay Motors: 95 96 97 98 99 ECLIPSE CLEAR SIDE MARKER BUMPER LIGHTS (item 310093780956 end time Oct-25-08 19:07:39 PDT)

thanks

cleans the appearance up a bit ... but i'd "clear " the whole front .. :thumb:

I like the clear corners. I have a set on mine and usually they come with amber bulbs so you can stay legal. You can't even see the bulb until its turned on, so the lens still looks clear when off.

As for the headlights, maybe I'm the only one that likes 2GB lights with the amber lens still intact, gives the headlight a more aggressive look IMO (Clearing it makes it look too streamlined)

If you want to be a little different, get some amber and/or white LEDs from eBay and made up some other variations. It's up to you to decide if these are legal enough for you. Technically, the matrix style are legal not since there is no reflector in the lens.

These all have cool white LEDs.

I actually have the Helix clear ones right now. My first pair of the OEM style clears fell out LOL. I think I actually like the OEM style ones more just cause they were more subtle, but the light output of the Helix ones are way nicer.

i ordered a set of the helix (that were 15 bucks more than the oem style clear) and they sent me the oem clear. then, the ebay company i got them from shut down and took off their store. errrr....

Most of the clear aftermarket lens kits include amber bulbs. You can also get "stealth" bulbs which are amber, but have a silvered coating to keep them from showing in clear corners.

(I don't have my clear corners anymore, just the clear diamond corners)

Hey guys i was wondering where i can get Japanese-made clear side markers. I been all over the internet for the pass week and the side markers they were selling were all made from china. The reason why I don't want to buy the china made one because I heard the quality isn't as good and it will haze and fade in a mere months. So if someone know a shop in the bay area or a legit website, please tell me. Thank you:)

I think they never made any OEM clear side markers. Why not get the ebay china made once instead? If your concern'd about the fading, you can just wet sand it and re clear coat it.

yeah you are probably right. no wonder i couldn't find it LOL. thanks. hey are you going to the meet tomorrow? with ## dsm? if you are tell me because i might go too. at this point im not really sure because i heard it was like 3-4 hrs away :sosad:

nice! how long did you have them for? because i heard in a couple of months, the clear ones get really hazily. i just really want them to be nice LOL.

oh for those who have clear side markers, do you have the amber bulbs? if not and using the regular one, is it too bright at night? because i don't want to get a ticket.

I currently have ebay corners and no i don't ever have the need to sand them down. They are perfectly fine.
The oem light bulbs will appear white, they're not "too bright" so yes you could re-use the oem bulbs. Later on you could get the amber bulbs so it can better match the amber clear bulbs on your headlight.

EVERYONE gets their clear corners on ebay which are made somewhere in China. They are made well and work well, as well as the many other ebay/china products. Do a search for "ebay" and you'll see.

Let us open your eyes to cheap. :)

I prefer to have a set of helix smoked corners, not many people have them...But ebay is the best best I've had 4 different sets of corners...the stock ambers...completely clear....reflective clear....and last but not least to helix smoked....

The completely clear ones were junk from the day I got them, the reflective style were much better...

BTW some states prohibit "WHITE" lights besides headlights of course from the sides and rears of vehicles...May pertain to your state or not...General rule of thumb always have amber on front corners...
