1ga awd harness and ecu in 1gb fwd?

Can I do this? I know there are some slight differences because of the gearing but can it be done.

The only difference between an AWD and a FWD turbo harness is the fuel pump wiring, that is because the AWD wiring goes to the fuel pump from inside the car and a FWD the wire gets run under neither the driver side. The wiring is long enough on both harnesses to be run either fuel pump setup (FWD/AWD).


If the FWD 1gb vehicle is turbo charged and has the same transmission type as the donor car (auto/manual) the wiring harness should change out perfectly, with only the head lights connector being different. You can rewire your connectors for the headlights just by cutting and switching connectors. There will also be head light motor connectors for the flip ups but they can just be unplugged. If the 1ga harness is a 1990 the coil pack, power transistor, and guage cluster should be swapped also. If it is a 1991 plus nothing else is changed.

If you are strictly talking the engine bay wiring harness there is no difference.
